Ogden Codman Jr. is often recognized as the other name on the spine of the design classic The Decoration of Houses, which he co-authored with Edith Wharton. This illustrated talk, which utilizes original letters held in Historic New England’s Codman collection, offers an inside peek into their artistic friendship that spanned more than forty years.
The lecture takes place in the Codman Estate Carriage House followed by an optional tour of the Codman House museum. Registration is required. Please call 781-259-8098 for more information. Purchase tickets on the Historic New England website.
This program is supported in part by a grant from the Lincoln Cultural council, a local agency supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.
